Courses Crash on iPad in Safari and Chrome
Jun 08, 2017
We are in the process of converting our courses to SL3 in order to have better HTML5 functionality and for the responsive player on mobile devices (primarily iPads). So far, each course we have ported over to SL3 crashes in both Safari and Chrome on an iPad. (It does not crash in the same place each time.) We even purchased a brand new current generation iPad because we thought maybe the older ones we were using just couldn't handle it. On older iPads, the courses would start to lag partway through, and then they would crash. The new iPad is up to date; the cache has been cleared; and there is a strong wifi connection to the device. On the new iPad, the courses crash suddenly without warning. The courses are published for the web and pushed through FTP. Then, we access the link directly via Safari and Chrome on the iPad for testing purposes. Due to the confidential nature of the courses, I cannot post the story file, but I have opened a support case with Articulate. Is anyone else running into this issue?

Hi JJ, thanks so much for letting me know that you opened a support case 01077099. I can see that my colleague Wilbert logged this issue as a possible software bug, so we're working with the team to get this resolved.
Thanks so much for bringing this up here, and I'll flag this thread to be updated as soon as we get more information. You'll be notified immediately since you're now subscribed.
Just as an update, I republished one of the courses using the updated version of SL3 that was released today, and I still ran into the same issues.
Thanks, JJ. We're still tackling this bug, but I'll be sure to update this thread as soon as a fix is released. Thanks for following up!
