Courses Lagging

I am running into some issues with courses lagging during a transition to a new slide. For example: I published a course I developed and was taking it to see how it worked. In the middle of the course, it would not load the next slide. It just kept loading. When I tried to refresh my screen, it took me back to the beginning of the course. 

I have run into this issue before with other courses and have received feedback from colleagues who have reviewed the courses for me. Unfortunately, it's not consistent. Sometimes this happens and sometimes it doesn't. Any ideas as to what is causing this? We use Google Chrome as our main browser.
