Drag and Drop issues with larger player
Dec 21, 2021
Dear All,
I have a problem that I couldn't find a discussion or solution myself.
When using a bigger player size (16:9 | 1920 x 1080) I experience that when using drag and drop interactions it is lagging when draging the DRAG OBJECT over the DROP OBJECT. Outside of this interaction, e. g. when I drag the DRAG OBJECT around while not "hitting" the DROP OBJCECT it is smooth as normal.
This never happened to me, but it is also the first time I am using a bigger player for a project. Sometimes I am so frustrated by a lof of small & simple bugs that really make it a pain sometimes to have a good and stable workflow in SL.
Anyone ideas for a workaround? Thanks in advance.
PS: I can not share the file but just use the simplest drag and drop interaction in the mentioned player size for test porpuses.

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Lucas!
Happy to troubleshoot with you here. I don't notice a delay in my drag and drop sample in preview or when I publish to Review 360:
Here is my slide size:
Can you share a few more clues:
Also, could you test out the sample I attached and let me know if you still see the delays? I'll be standing by!
Hi Becca,
thanks for jumping in. I dont see big laggs/unsmooth movements on your .story aswell, maybe a tiny bit in preview.
- I installed the latest version of storyline
- I work on C
- I can't publish the course locally for some reason it crashes for me. IDK why
See below my .story and a video of the laggs.
I appreciate you sharing these examples, Lucas!
I also see the lagging when I drag the x-ray images over the drop objects, but I didn't have issues when I published the course locally.
From here, I want our support engineers to review all these details and help get to the bottom of this. I've opened a support case on your behalf, and we'll be in touch via email soon with the next step!
