I was recording audio when SL crashed. Then the file was "locked by another process". I renamed it and was able to open it but found all of the edits in the last week are gone even though the project was saved regularly. The narration is gone as well. I can see the updated version in review but my story file is not the same. Any idea how to proceed here? I'm using parallels with MAC.

Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
