Create my own 'seeker' bar

Morning All,

I'm working on a project where I need to in effect recreate the seeker bar functionality but as part of the slide and not the player (unless there's a way of moving the seeker bar into the slide layout?)...this may sound a bit daft but it fits with the UI I've created for the project..!

I have an idea using states and an invisible timer variable loop as seen on another discussion thread on this site i.e. change state of object x to y when variable a increases by b etc. But wondered whether there was an easier way. I'm assuming it's possible in java script but I'm not familiar with that.

Has anyone got any ideas as how best to replicate the functionality of the seeker bar.
