I found several threads inserted in the last three years regarding the creation of a new libraries of custom characters to add to that found in Insert> Character Illustrated Character and Photographic Character. I have not found updates or complete instructions on how to solve this common need anywhere. Do you have any update? Thank you
I'm trying to create a library of photographic characters. The acp file for the characters shown is named like extention apc and even if I rename zip requires a password to me!?!?
So I can not see the structure of the row csv! : (((
Hi, Stefano -- Thanks for reaching out! I'm not sure if this is one of the threads you came across previously, but I thought I might pass it along in case you'd like to take a look at some of the suggestions shared. Hope that helps or others will have some additional ideas they can provide, as well! :)
You cannot replace the vector images with PNGs, this will freeze up Storyline or make it run like mud. I've tried. The photographic characters are licensed from another company so I imagine that Articulate had to take certain steps to protect them.
I try to answer them all! Pierre: I thought I try, but Jerson tells us that it does not work! Christie: I thank you, but that thread I had seen it! I had already found that solution!
I can see photographic characters behaves differently. It's just PNGs with three levels of cropping (body, torso, head).
I suppose CSV file is much simpler (not sure if it evens contains cropping information) but as long as all character archives are password protected we'll never know!
in the thread recommended by Christie, David Anderson (staff) had been advised to use the states to store different poses of the same character. Good solution from the point of view of the trigger, at least as regards the speed of realization and especially rubbish as regards the weight of the sum of all poses inserted in the library of character!

That's right! Photographic Characters files are password protected... Weird...
Maybe you can try with the illustrated one and replace vector pictures with PNGs.
