Creating a Module for a Serious Topic

Aug 22, 2014

Hello,

I just started a new (temp) job, and this is one of my first modules so I want to make a good impression. I have been tasked with creating an informational module on the procedures medical professionals should take when dealing with sexual abuse amongst juveniles.

I am having a hard time deciding on a template as I need it to be serious yet engaging. I am also having a hard time coming up with graphics.

Can anyone suggest templates and a place where I can find free graphics (any suggestion on what type of graphics to use) (I work for a government agency, so it si not for profit)

Thanks for your help

Hi Sharron,

Regarding free graphics, I have a few favorites, although I can't speak to what they have in your topic area.

There are other threads in the forums also on suggestions individuals have made. Try doing a search. The forum searches don't work very well right now (Articulate are working on that) but you could trying using the method Adrian Dean describes in a Screenr

Also, one of the Articulate Engineers put together a site for searching here called (appropriately enough) Articusearch

Also, perhaps you can try posting in the Building Better Courses Forum, it's on the left in this link:

Hopefully, too, others will post some thoughts here.

Hi Sharron,

congratulations to your new job!

Here are some forum posts from the past where you might get some inspiration:

As Rebecca already pointed out, there are many resources in the community about free graphics, fonts, etc. For example a compilation of Free Stock Photo Sites for E-Learning from David Anderson. And I'm sure you already know about our Downloads area.
