Is it possible to create a drop down list of numeric values for a numeric entry field?
Just entering them as text does not work- there is no drop down arrow on the right (as shown in the icon) and the entries do not become a set of list items
It does not seem to have a design tool of its own (unlike slider) or states

Yes, you can create dropdown lists. See this thread here for one option.
Thanks Michael. I have a lot of values so I think I will just use a slider.
