Is there anyway to create a forum inside of the Storyline course that is automatically updated in real-time for people to communicate fast? I am looking to let users interact with one another. Can this be done in the interface? Or does this have to be custom HTML or linked through a companies personal LMS. If that is the case how would you go about attaching it through their personal LMS forum space?
I've done this by embedding a conferencing website into the course by using the "Insert Video--> From Website" I believe. The one we use is not really forum, more of a Q&A, but you should be able to embed a forum the same way. You would have to find a free or paid online forum website that you could embed.
Hi Laura! Looks like Mike has already popped in to assist you here and perhaps other users that have experience with this will be able to chime in as well.
Thanks for the answer, though it is a solution I'm not sure it is one for the company we are working with. They have very confidential information that probably can't be hosted on a 3rd party website. Perhaps some 3rd party forum sites have good security but that would be a whole can of worms I'm not sure they want to open. Thanks again for that answer though.
They could always set up forum software on their own server, just know that you should be able to embed anything like that into Storyline as long as it will run in a browser.
