Creating Multiple Solutions for Drag and Drop Quiz Question in Storyline

May 03, 2017

Hi everyone!

I am trying to create a numerical quiz which involves the dragging and dropping of numbers into an equation to get the correct answer. The slide template looks like this:

Slide template

My issue is that there could be several possible correct solutions for the one question, e.g. 5 + 2 or 2 + 5 or 4 +3 or 3 + 4 or 6 + 1 or 1 + 6

As far as I know, the drag and drop quiz will only allow me to choose a drag item once. So if I select the circle number 1 as my drop item and designate it to my drop target on the left, then I cannot re-select circle number 1 to give it an alternative drop target.

What I would like to achieve is to allow for multiple correct alternative answers as the examples below:

Possible solution 1:

Possible solution 1

Possible solution 2:

Possible solution 2

Possible solution 3:

Possible solution 3

etc.

Is this something that is possible in Storyline? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Laura

Hello Laura - I've seen users accomplish similar goals with a Pick One Freeform Question vs utilizing the drag and drop. You can check out a similar thread here. It would certainly take more of a manual build, but doable if you're willing to input all the data and know all of the possible combinations as your example shows.

I did a brief example to demonstrate.
