How do you create a course menu that allows you to jump back to any chapter that you have already taken but not ahead of the farthest point you have reached so far, the same way the built-in menu functions when restricted? I am creating a menu from scratch without relying on the built-in one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like something that's definitely do-able, but it would probably take some conditions and/or variables. It really depends on how you want to design this, though, and just how elaborate your course is.
I'm sure there are some of our awesomely talented community members that have already designed something similar. Perhaps a few could share some examples that may work for you.
Also, if you already have a menu in progress, feel free to share it here. I'd be happy to try to take a look and see if I can provide some suggestions.
Totally off the top of my head, so maybe I haven't thought it through enough. I was wondering if you could set up T/F variables for the chapters with default of False.
Let's say you have a main menu with links to the 4 chapters. Chapters 2, 3, and 4 are not accessible until the associated variables become true.
And, for example, the variable associated with Chapter 2 is triggered to true when the Learner completes the last slide in the Chapter 1 section. Etc.
It works!!! Big thanks to both Rebecca and Bruce!! I just created a new menu following the examples set up in the attached sample. Rebecca, your instructions helped me better understand the theory!! Thanks!

Hi Jin,
The attached file should allow you to do this - easy to modify if you want.
Menu starts on 3rd slide.
