Delayed clickability

Jun 16, 2017

Hi! I am not sure if this has been asked before; I was struggling with how to word my search, but didn't find anything helpful. I have created a presentation in Storyline 2, and have buttons that aren't 'clickable' for moments in time. I changed the time on each trigger to .5 seconds, but it seems that isn't the problem. When you hover over each button, the cursor may be an arrow (not clickable) or it may be a hand (clickable.) Personally, that is a minor issue. For my learners, however, it is really frustrating them and impeding their ability to focus on the learning as a whole, and instead they have tunnel vision about that issue.

Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this? I attached my presentation (which is still VERY much in process, I just publish as I go so the learners can see what I'm working on) but I'm not sure if the zip file is what you need. Let me know if you have questions about what I'm talking about.

What's happening is that the clickable area seems only to be the text, so if the user hovers over the shape but not the text, they don't see a hand. Then when the mouse moves to the text, they see the hand. Replace the Rounded Rectangle Captions with Rounded Rectangles. They look exactly the same, and every bit of them responds to the mouse, not just the text.
