Delaying slide trigger until all objects are viewed

Apr 23, 2014

I am creating a slide in which there are several objects I want viewed.  I've delayed the slide trigger until all are "visited".  But then the last caption of words on the slide layer does not stay on long enough to be viewed.   Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Karen

Hi Karen and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

If this is all happening on one slide, you might be able to do this with one or multiple variables.

For example, you could use multiple True/False variables. Then, you could call the trigger on the condition that all of those variables equal a value.

Another option would be to use a number variable. You could have the number increase when the learner clicks on an object. Say you have 9 objects - you could trigger the variable value to +Add 1 for each one they click. Then, when the variable equals 9, you could fire that trigger on the condition of the variable changing to 9. The problem with this option is that you have to get a little tricky - if you don't prevent the numbers from increasing, learners could continuously increase the number by clicking on a single object multiple times. You could also add a condition to the adjustment trigger for the variable, for example - on the condition that the state is "Normal".

I'm sure others will have some great suggestions as well :)
