Disabled State Not Changing to Normal

Hi folks,
I am wondering if someone is able to help please, I am using disabled states in an eLearning course to ensure the learner completes the lessons in a correct order. These are controlled by state and trigger changes, the triggers are working fine but I am having a 'bug' type issue where a couple of my buttons change from disabled to 'normal' but the state change does not take effect. I can access the button but it still remains grayed-out. They should be reverting to a coloured normal state which indicates the lesson is now 'live' and ready to be accessed.
Has anyone else come across this problem? It is quite random and only appears to be featuring on two of my buttons! I've attached a screen shot in case this helps.

Any chance you could attach a sample of your file here? I'd like to have a closer look at your triggers and test the slide's functionality. Also, what version of Storyline did you use to create this course?

I am using Articulate Storyline 2!
Hi Olivia! Since you're working with a large file, you can save a copy and delete most of the slides from the copy. I really only need to see the slides that are affected by the buttons with disabled states. Thanks!
