I am creating a simple course where my users need to watch a video that will be embedded from a website as a web object (I do not have access to the video file...its provided by new york state and is required HR content). The video is long...about 45 min...I need to be able to embed the video as a web object in SL but keep my users from simply advancing past the slide. Is there a way to do this without creating a 45 min long slide time, if that is even possible?
The big challenge is knowing when the actual video ends. Their is load time and of course delays in the system. I'd rip the video and have it play locally so you have all the control.
