Display window with no browser controls bug

Hello,
Our organization has recently launched eLearning and some of our folks have never used eLearning and are using the browser navigation buttons taking them to a blank white web page. In looking at Storyline's player it has the option to 'Display the window with no browser controls'. This is working in Chrome but not in IE.
Is this a known bug or is there something else I need to do to get this to work within IE 8. Our organizations default browser is IE8. Please help

If a browser is configured to always show the controls you cannot override this, nor should you be able to. Not really a bug.
