Does Storyline 2 Donwgrades the Audio Qulity?

Aug 05, 2015

Hi,

When I import audio into articulate (Wav 16bit, 44,100Khz Stereo), it becomes mono and the sound quality really degrades.

I would like to know what happens to the audio material within Storyline and what exactly bdoes the codec do.

I work for an Audio Professional collage, and the sound quality is one of the most important aspects in our presentations.

Thank you veryu much :)

Hi HD!

Although Articulate Storyline and Articulate Studio '13 support a wide range of audio file formats (AAC, AIF, AIFF, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, WMA), not all codecs and bitrates are supported. If you encounter issues, we recommend converting your audio files to 16 bit 44 KHZ PCM WAV for best results.

When recording narration in the software, the custom setting allows you to set the bitrate to up 160 kbps, so that does sound correct.

If you wish to share your ideas and suggestions on this with our product development team, you may do so here.
