Does Submit Results send the Score to the LMS when a student fails the Quiz and the course does not complete?

Apr 21, 2015

I have a course that is strictly a quiz with 17 questions. The user must score 85% to pass and complete the course. If they do not pass, they can take the test again.

My internal client wants to see the score and number of attempts it takes an individual to pass the quiz on a report. So if it takes someone 3 times to pass the assessment, the attempt and score are listed 3 separate times.

I'm testing it in our LMS and I've noticed that if I take the test and don't pass, then run a report that includes the score, the score is not displaying in the LMS - I only see 0%. When I do pass and complete the course, I see my score.

Does the Submit Results trigger in Articulate pass the score from the Articulate course to the LMS each time the user completes the quiz regardless of whether they pass and complete the course?

thanks,

Jeanette

Hi Jeanette,

The information in regards to the score and completion is submitted once the user has reached the completion requirement as described here. If you're not seeing this within your LMS you may want to look at this article on troubleshooting common LMS problems in addition to testing the course at SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for testing SCORM content.
