Is there a way that once the user has dropped an object to the correct drop point, s/he can't drag it again i.e. the object becomes locked to that position?
I played with a few things, such as a transparent shape over the drop target (nope). Then showing a "blank layer" where the setting for the layer is "prevent user from clicking items on base layer".
Then I came up with this combination of the two.
When something is dropped on the first drop target, show a layer, with a transparent shape (mine has a line around it so you can see where it is) that just covers the first drop target.
When something is dropped on the second drop target, show a layer, with a transparent shape that just covers the second drop target.
The items on those drop targets can no longer be moved. The transparent shape/layer prevents it.

Hi Raheel,
You should be able to achieve the lock by adding a trigger to change the state to Disabled when a user drops an object to the correct drop point.
Please give this a try :)

Ha, Well sure Katie, if you want to do it the easy way. ;)
Nice job.
Best of both worlds here. Nice job as well, Tracy!
Thank you. It worked.
Hooray! So happy to hear this. Thanks for the update, Raheel.
