Drag and Drop Options

Dec 11, 2012

I need to do the following and can't seem to do it.

I have two drag items: A and B, and I have two drop targets: C and D. A can go into either C or D. Is it possible to do this? That is have a drag item have multiple drop targets as correct.

Thank you!

Hi Yvonne,

Have you tried using the free form drag and drop? You can assign multiple "correct" targets to a single target. I'm not sure if you'll be able to drag the same target to more than one correct answer, though. You might be able to pull that off with layers, but you may end up having more than one instance of the answer you want to have drop on multiple targets.

I put a quick example together, you can see it here. In the example, you can drag all of the targets on the left and place them on "G".

I'm sure our community Heroes probably have some better suggestions, just wanted to give you an option to consider.

Good luck with the project!

Thank you Wim for sharing that example. I do have one inquiry though, what if you want to score the question? I used your file and inserted a result slide after it for scoring purposes. However, since none of the drag items don't have a "correct" target, any place you drop them seems to count as correct. I would prefer to score the question - so if a user drops the items in the incorrect places, they are counted as wrong. I wonder if you have some suggestions for that?
