Draw from Question Bank to result slide doesn't work

Feb 11, 2021

I have a course with 2 scenes. One with normal slides and one scene with an introduction slide a draw from question bank slide and a result slide. When I'm on the last slide in my draw from question bank I can't continue to the result slide. Storyline shows the player prev and next button (who are unchecked) and the loading icon circles but nothing happens.

Has anyone experienced this before and found a solution?

Thanks in advance

Hello Mark!

I'm happy to help! It sounds like when pressing the Next button on the last question doesn't move to the Results Slide. Can you try changing the trigger to Jump to Slide and then select the Results Slide?

This should do the trick! If not, would you mind sharing the .story file? You can attach it to this public discussion or upload it to us privately!

Hi there! I have the same problem, but with a randomized draw. I added a "Jump to next slide" trigger to each Submit button (in addition to Submit interaction, of course) but I can't add a "Jump to Result slide" on the last question because it's randomized so I don't know what that last question is going to be. Any suggestions as to why it's not working? Thanks!

Hi, Marianick,

Thank you for reaching out!

If you take a look in Story View, your Draw from question bank slide needs to be connected to the Results slide. Does it show an arrow like the screenshot below?

If it doesn't, on your Results slide, go to Quiz Settings under the Result Tools ribbon and make sure the draw slide is checked :

Feel free to share your .story here file if those suggestions don't work for you, and I'm happy to take a look.

I had a similar problem. Especially if I copied a quiz, or portions of a quiz, from one project to another. Go into the Results slide, go to Quiz Settings under the Result Tools ribbon and rename to something unique, click OK. Now the painful part, double check all your triggers that use the variables from the quiz, make sure the triggers show the new name. If not, edit any triggers to choose the variable with the new name. Seemed to work for me, hopefully helped!
