Drop incorrect state of an object gets enabled and persistent even after you slightly move the object

Aug 22, 2020

Hi, everyone.

Can you help me fix this problem ?

I think it would make more sense if the object changed its normal state to drop incorrect state only after having been dropped on the target and when moved outside the target regained it original normal state.

But it seem to be a serious flaw in the articulate software that only the slightest movement of the object instantly activates persistent Drop incorrect state.

Can you help me fix this problem without having recourse to time-consuming creation of layers, triggers and whatnot.

Even the slightest movement of an object is interpreted (correctly in my opinion) as a drag. When the drag ends, the object is evaluated to see if it has been dragged to the correct target. What I think makes sense is that it would revert to Normal state if it returns to its original position.

I can see two solutions:

1. Place an invisible object under the original position, accompanied by a trigger that changes state to Normal if the object is dropped on the invisible shape. That allows the learner to grab the object and then change their mind, or place an object, and change their mind and return it to its original position. Either way, it reverts to Normal. the drawback I see to this solution is that it violates your request not to have to do a lot of extra work.

2. Go into Drag and Drop options and set it to delay the change of Drop Correct and Incorrect state until Submit is clicked. Of course, doing that, you lose the immediate feedback.
