Duplicating Question Slides

Hi All,
I'm creating a second version of a file by dupicating slides and building a parrallel branch next to the original. Basically creating a non-narrated version of the same course. I'm running into an issue with a question slide in that each time that I duplicate or copy the slide I can only position it directly under the original slde. When I create a trigger from the previous duplicated slide to jump to it, it still doesn't line up like I need it to. So I created a trigger from the duplicated question slide back to the duplicated previous slide and the entire structure of the branch is altered. Does anyone know if this is possible and, if so, how I can accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any info!

Hi Beth,
You should be able to duplicate a slide and use it in another branch - and based on your description I'd suggest to first double check the trigger set up and see if there are any triggers on your slide masters as well that could be interfering. Next, it's also worth checking that you're working with local project files as described here as working on a network or USB drive could cause unusual behavior.
If you're still having difficulty with it, it would help to see the .story file so we could look at the triggers and how everything is laid out within your .story file.
Thanks Ashley I appreciate your help, but I checked the master slides and I don't see any triggers. I also checked the slide triggers and only found the Multiple Choice (quiz) trigger and the jump to trigger; could it be because this is a quiz slide? BTW how would I get the .story files to you?
OK, I just tried to duplicate another quiz slide in another scene of the course and the same thing happened so there is something to the quiz slides...I just don't know what yet.
Hi Beth,
You could either attach the .story file here in the forums using the paper clip icon, and that way I can look at it and so can other community members to assist. If you'd prefer or are required to share it privately, I can send you directions on how to do so.
Phew, you were right it was in the triggers on the layers and that's why I couldn't duplicate it successfully. Thanks again Ashley.
Thanks for the update Beth.
