Duplicating slides

Oct 08, 2020

I have many times duplicated slides and then made changes but this always results in slides that are right next to each other. Can a slide be duplicated to another section of the presentation or even to another completely different presentation?

Hi David,

If you select the slide you want to duplicate (this can be done in your normal slide editing view or in Story View), right click on the slide thumbnail and click Copy. Now select the slide after which you want to add the copied slide, right click and click Paste. This will then place a duplicate of the slide at the new location.

If you first open a second instance of Storyline with a second project in it that you want to add the duplicate slide to, you can use the above process to add the duplicate to the other project. After copying the original, simply move to the other project, click where you want to insert the slide and paste it.

The slide will retain its original formatting/theme and so, if you add it to another project, you may have to right click on the slide after you have pasted it in and apply a layout from the template in your other project.

Hope this helps.
