Is there a way to watch the audio timeline when editing in Storyline? I have some highlight boxes I would like to match up to the audio timing, but I can't seem to figure out how to get a moving timeline bar when listening to the audio to make this happen. Any help would be great! Thanks in Advance!
What works best for me is to play the audio in something like Audacity (free audio editor) and record the times. Then, place the boxes, right-click them in the timeline and type in the time. Perfect alignment on the first try.
Play the audio by clicking the play icon in the lower left of the timeline panel.
Note: It might take a while to start playing. Be patient!
As you listen, click the "c" key at every point where something needs to happen. That adds a cue point to the timeline.
Then you can drag items to start or end at a given cue point.
You can also add triggers to make something happen at a given cue point. (Bonus: When you do that, you don't have to edit the trigger if you move the cue point.)
