Hello. I am trying to edit the configuratio.js file per instructions for making the 'exit button' work in storyline 360. I can edit, but I get an 'access denied' message when I try to save it. Has anyone figured out how to do this? I tried from within storyline and the published file and it did not work. TIA.
It sounds like you do not have permission to edit/modify this file in Windows.
You can check this by going to the lms folder, entering Properties > Security, and making sure that the Users group has Full control checked. If the Users group is not present, you can add this by clicking the Edit... button, then Add..., then typing in Users and checking the Full control box. As an aside, you can do the same thing on the Configuration.js file itself.
Alternatively, you can try disabling UAC temporarily while you are editing the .js file. Here is a link that shows how to do this. I wouldn't advise it so be sure to turn it back the way it was after making your changes.
Note that both will need you to be an Administrator in Windows.
