Editing the imsmanifest.xml file
Jun 24, 2014
Good morning!
I attempted to search the forums first and the query function is not working for me. In fact, I tried in both internet explorer and Chrome. I even search for 'video' and the letter 'a' , and was told no results were available. So, my apologies if this is a duplicate post.
SITUATION: we have some storyline templates from a vendor and I have been editing them to put our own spin on them. One of my team mates noticed that a recent project I uploaded on iPhones & iPads showed something completely different in the IE Tab/Title Bar. I can not find the settings within Storyline to edit this.
But, I was able to open the imamanifest.xml file in Notepad and found the offending text.
QUESTION: so, why do I need to do it this way (or is there an easier way to do this)? Obviously, our vendor copied/pasted something at some point. But, I didn't see this anywhere at all. It wasn't visible until the project was published. And, even then, it was in the internet explorer tab.
Thanks for your help!
Aaron

The search feature is broken, it is known. Just use google as a work around.
Can you give a SS of where the text you want to remove is when previewing the module, I'd like to orient myself with what you're describing.
Ahh, that makes me feel better about the search results issues - although it sucks for searching the forums.
Anyway, I am including a screen-shot of the IE tab that I ended up fixing. I used Notepad to manually edit the manifest file (and then updated the ZIP file), but I was curious if there was another place to tweak this text. iPhoneiPadSecurity previously said something to the effect of File_Transfer_and_Cloud_Storage.
Thanks!
Aaron
