What are you trying to embed? If the content is on a web page, you should be able to direct to that page to see it? If it's a video or something similar you may want to review the information here.
You may want to take a look at the information here regarding the web pages not showing in published content. It's not uncommon for websites and videos to restrict themselves from being played within a frame, like a web object.

A Voice Thread did work, the Scribd didn't.
I attached pics of the error message, the success pic and the file itself...
