I noticed that when I publish to CD and then copy the output folder to a network drive, the embedded videos in the Storyline file don't play. The slides comes up but no video. If I view the same file on my local drive, the videos show up fine.
Is this a known issue? Just need to know if I should inform reviewers to copy the output folder to their local drives before they try to open the lesson.
Just to confirm, you're launching the course by double-clicking the Launch_Story.exe file, correct? Also, be sure to zip the published output first, then copy it to a network drive (then extract the zip file before viewing).
If you're still having trouble, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Can you please go ahead and open a ticket, including the .story file, so we can take a closer look at what's going on?
That's right...We're launching these via the Launch_Story.exe file. It doesn't seem to matter if I zip up the published output and unzip it on the network share or if I just copy the entire output folder over.
Unfortunately, I can't share the course with you but I'll open a ticket and put together a test file that I can share.

And by the way...the title of this post should read "NOT playing".

Feel free to leave me your case number when you get one and I'll be sure to follow up with it
Have a great weekend!
Hey, Peter.
I created a test story file and submitted it, along with my published output folder. The case number is 00335500.
You have a great (long) weekend too, and thanks a lot!
