Embedding PDF as a Web Object
Jan 28, 2021
Good morning,
I hope that you can point me in the right direction. I am trying to create an articulate storyline course where a learner would watch a video and then open a PDF on the next slide where he should be able to fill out the open text section of the PDF and print the document for his record. The PDF assignment is not graded, but we want to embed the file instead of placing it in the resources to encourage the completion of this assignment. I can save a PDF file locally or upload it to SharePoint. When I tried to insert a web object using the link and publish the file, it says that the SharePoint site refused to connect. Please let me know what is the best way to do that and do I upload a fillable PDF?
Thank you,
Iana

Hi Iana!
We're happy to help! What you're running into doesn't sound familiar. Is this only happening with SharePoint sites or other websites as well?
I'd recommend connecting with a Support Engineer so we can see what might be causing the "Refuse to connect message."
Hi Lauren! It is only happening with SharePoint sites. Is it correct if I copy-paste the SharePoint link when I insert a web object? Or am I doing anything wrong?
I did open a case with a Support Engineer.
Thanks, Iana.
I see that you are working directly with Gerald on our support team, so you're in great hands.
