Empty Variables & LMS Reporting
Sep 16, 2013
So here's my situation. At one point we added a results slide to our course but since have removed it and have switched the reporting from 'quiz result' to 'number of slides viewed'.
Now the 'Results' variables for reporting a quiz score are still listed in the variables section and are not deleting. I've read from other posts that this is not possible.
Our client is using a Swiss LMS called Click (not sure if that is spelled correctly), and it is reporting a completed status but is also reporting a quiz result of 0%. They really want the quiz result to go away and I'm thinking it has something to do with that empty 'Results.ScorePercent' variable with a default value of 0.
Is there anyone who may be able to offer me some guidance?

Hi Joseph,
As far as I know there isn't a way to delete these variables once created. I have seen limited success in users who were able to remove these variables by importing the slides from your original course into a new file. Please create a new, blank Storyline course and import the slides from your first file.
Thanks Ashley, that's what I figured. Would you verify if it is the empty variables reporting to that LMS?
Without seeing it and testing it, I can't say for certain - but it certainly sounds like it is. I'm not familiar with that LMS, but if you'd like to test it in SCORM Cloud you'll be able to confirm how it's reading the Results.
Hey Ashley, I did use the import feature and it worked like a charm! Thanks so much!
Perfect! Happy to hear that it worked for you Joseph!
