Hi! I got this message several times trying to import PPT into 360. Any suggestions. It does have audio. But I tried another PPT without audio and the same issue. Thanks.
Hi there, Norma. Really sorry about this – error messages are never fun, but I can try and help you here! To start:
Can I confirm that you're working locally?Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. This includes making sure PowerPoint is also saved to your C: drive.
Do you have any issues opening both PowerPoint files outside of Storyline?
Are you able to share both PPT files here so I can test the import on my end? Simply click the Add Attachment button at the bottom of the reply window. Feel free to also share them privately with our Support Engineers here – we'll have a closer look and let you know what we find!
Additionally, a simple Storyline 360 repair can help fix this issue. Please have a try, and I'll be standing by to hear how you make out!
Katie - thanks for your response. I had this issue with Storyline 2, also. I cannot share the file with you. I will check out the repair option and then I will contact support. Thanks again.
Thanks, Norma and feel free to let us know if you connect with our Support team too! We'd love to follow along in your case and share any resolutions here.
Hi! I just got back from vacation and I can address this. I took the PPT that was 79 slides with record audio and broke it down to 12 slides. It imported nicely, but the audio not import. That took 3 minutes. So now I'm not sure what I'm going to do.
Really sorry you're hitting a snag with the audio. I saw you connected with our Support team and my teammate, Anna, is on the case. I shared the extra detail in this thread here with her, and you should hear back with some next steps soon.
We'll follow your case closely and share all updates here, as needed!
Thank you for your response. I looked into this further. The PPT that I had DID NOT have audio. My mistake. But if it does have audio, will it import into Storyline?
No worries, Norma! I created a one slide PowerPoint with audio attached where it successfully imported into Storyline 360. Let us know if you run into any trouble!
