Error Messages

I am new to Storyline 3 (1 month) and have had a recent issue where anything I select gets me an error message, "We're sorry, something went wrong with Articulate Storyline and it might close." Is this normal? I normally use Adobe Captivate but my supervisor wants me to learn Storyline 3 as well.
