Error Report when taking screen clippings

I am relatively new to Storyline 2 and I am encountering a problem when I am trying to use the screen clipping tool. I have dual monitors, and when the screen goes white for me to select the part of the screen, it only ever highlights one of my screens. Typically, it is the screen I am not currently on. At that point, it will temporarily freeze and then give me box to type in an error report to send. Earlier this week after this happened I lost a lot of progress. Is there something I am doing incorrectly, or is this a system error?
