I keep losing work because whenever I go to paste a picture or text into my storyline file, the whole application closes and I lose all of my work since my last manual save. Is there a way to disable this? Is it designed to do that?
I'm sorry you've run into this odd behavior! It's certainly not expected. Can you copy and paste normally using the "right click" menu? Does this odd CTRL+V behavior happen anywhere else - if so, perhaps the keyboard shortcuts for your computer have been changed?

Yes, if I use the "right click" menu it seems to work fine. I am just used to using Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V and often times use it without even thinking and then it shuts down.
I honestly don't know if I am still running into the issue or not because I have gotten to a point where I don't dare use Ctrl V. I don't want to test it but I will let you know if I accidentally do it again and reach out to the engineers.
I totally understand not wanting to recreate it since it's caused you such trouble! If you have a moment to test it out in a new .story file that may be the best method to not impact any of your other work.
