EXCEL Spreadsheet quiz imports

Dec 04, 2017

When a large question bank is maintained, EXCEL is a great way to hold the source to cover up weaknesses in Storyline.

We've found that Storyline is error-prone regarding quiz layouts and once the layout becomes skewed in any manner, changing the layout or resetting the layout has little or only partial effect.

This is why deleting the entire quiz from SL and re-importing it from EXCEL is handy. It makes up for flaws in SL.

There are a couple of enhancements I'd like to see which are very minor.  Sure I could report them as a feature enhancement but we all know where that goes.  I was hoping for some crowd support.

Enhancements:

1 - Support for correct and incorrect feedback text for each question.  The SL user interface has it, so EXCEL should provide it too. I am at a loss to understand how this wasn't included from day 1.

2 - Get rid of the comment // delimiter.  It makes it difficult to encode a URL in the quiz choice. For example:  http://www.mydomain.com is imported as http:
