I am trying to publish a storyline slide (or project) to Word. After publishing, Storyline congratulates me and says the file was published succesfully. But when I want to look up the file in my file system, there is nothing there.
I am working on a MacBook with Parallels Desktop to run Storyline.
HI Alyssa, I am having the same issue. Is it possible to please get some help as my only other option is to screen shot every single screen into a word document... Thanks :)
Is this issue occurring with all of the Storyline 360 you attempt to export to Word or just a specific one?
It would be helpful to take a closer look at the project file itself, so we can test the functionality on our end. Would you be willing to share it here in the discussion or privately through a support case? We'll delete it from our system once troubleshooting is complete!
Thanks for following up and sharing the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far!
Great call on opening a case! I see my colleague Dexter has picked it. You're in excellent hands working with him! It looks like Dexter replied to your e-mail with some follow-up questions and troubleshooting steps. I'd suggest giving those a try to see if that does the trick!
Also, It looks like part of your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help!
It's 2024 and yet, it still is an issue... Dear Support, do you plan to fix all recurring bugs with the updates? That's not the first time I look for the workaround for Storyline bugs and find out that it's unresolved bug from YEARS before.
I've try to export on Windows, Ms Word is installed and I end up without .doc file of the course... No WPS installed.
Can I ask if you can replicate the behavior in a new project file? This will help isolate if the issue is file-specific or something else. Additionally, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!

Hi Julie!
Sorry to hear you're also running into trouble getting your Storyline 360 course exported to Word. I'd be happy to help!
I just had some clarifying questions first to get a better idea of your setup:

Hi there,
Thanks for the quick reply 😊
I have opened a case – 03649898.
I have tried importing the slides into a new project and this error occurs with every Storyline file we create.
Would be grateful for your help.
Thanks
Julie
