Exporting/Retaining learner's responses to questions

Apr 04, 2023

As a relatively new user of Storyline, I'm comfortable creating in-session quizzes, and allowing successful completion to flow through to our LMS, though individual responses don't populate in the LMS.

I'd like to learn if there is a way to have the learner's responses to questions be exportable such that I can assess those choices individually or see the group's responses?  Please point me to any articles or resources that might help.  Thanks!

Hi Ron.

I've been using SCORM 1.2.  Speaking as a new user - the reporting and tracking options simply suggest that completion of the in-course test sends a notice of completion to the LMS, not the responses to the questions asked.  As to the second question, this is an older LMS - Symplr (Healthcaresource).

David, I think what you are asking is to track which question is everybody getting wrong so you can create or fix your training, so they get it all correct. If I am correct, the only way I have found this to work is to develop the test in the LMS. The learner would take the test after each section or after completing the training. Using SABA, I can create a test and it can only be taken after the learner has completed the training class.

Hello David,

As long as you are using SCORM that should not be problem.  Each version provides a little different Data package and every LMS has their own quirks about what kinds of reports can be exported.

This article may help clarify what Articulate is sending to the LMS

Just to confirm - Are you tracking completion with the Results Slide?
