Hi everyone,

Is there are known limit to Storyline files before the projects crash?

I've had a few experiences now where my projects reach the 1GB size and then become corrupt and unusable 

I know it's not ideal to be working to those sizes but my company has requested a long-form online course of around a few hours

Are there any specs that Storyline works to in terms of project capacity?

Hi Hannah!

There isn't a maximum file size in Storyline 360. However, if you're creating a Storyline project around 1GB, I'd recommend taking note of these tips:

  • Save your project under a new file name every day that you work on the file. For example, SampleFile 12.1.2020. This way, you will have backup copies of the project handy from each day you've worked on the project.
  • Work on your local drive, which is typically your C: drive. Working in a shared drive can cause corruption issues, which would be a bad scenario with that size project.
