Fill In The Blank answer verification

May 10, 2013

Hello, I'm new to Storyline and I'm looking at Fill in the Blank questions. In particular, you can fill in only a few "acceptable answers", I was really hoping there would be some advanced options to allow for better control over this, perhaps regular expressions to match answers, or some way to tell a user if their answer is close, but not quite right. I can't seem to find any options for this, does such a thing exist? If so, could someone share some information on that?

Thank you!

Ben,

Yeah, folks have been doing some great things with Javascript.  In the trigger wizard, you'll see the option to execute javascript.  Select that, click the "..." icon and you can drop your code.   Would love to see what you come up with!  Please come back and share what you work out.  There are some users who are fairly Javascript savvy, so if you run into any speed bumps, feel free to post follow up questions.
