I'm working on several video projects with mp4 files. Half seem to load, but a couple won't allow me to insert into Storyline. Seems the encoder is getting hung up if I read the task manager correctly. After I click the insert button, it freezes up.
I haven't seen that error before - but have you tried using a tool like Handbrake or FormatFactory to reencode the videos? You'll want to use the H.264 codec.
Just so you know, I ran the video through a checker, and it seems it was not encoded properly. There was an error in the mp4 file. It would run in wmv, but not in Articulate. Don't know what the error was exactly. I asked the producer to re-encode it the update worked fine.

Awesome, thanks for the update - and although Storyline supports a number of codecs and bitrates, the best option for an MP4, is the H.264 codec.
Glad you got everything sorted!
