Font displaying incorrectly all of a sudden in preview mode-Please assist

Hi all,
I have never experienced this type of issue before. I've been working on this course for months, and this just now started happening. For background, the storyline file is split up into 3 modules (one in English, Spanish, and Chinese). I first noticed it today when I published to 360 Review. The Chinese font was spaced out in an odd manner, about 2 tabs worth of space randomly between characters. Originally, viewing the slide in edit mode, everything looked fine. Now, I'm even noticing issues across the board when I preview the entire project in the storyline software, not just in the review link. Now, some English letters have symbol-like boxes over them and some of the characters overlap each other. See the attachments below.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi there Laurie,
Which fonts exactly are you using in this course? Also, do you notice a difference if you enable/disable Modern Text?
Go to the Design tab on the Storyline ribbon, click the Fonts drop-down list, and select Use Modern Text at the bottom of the list.
Let me know if that makes a difference!
