help with translation xliffs

Feb 06, 2013

Hi, has anyone else had any issues with xliffs translating from English to Chinese/Japanese?

When we import them back in, they have '?' characters instead of the correct characters on every slide. The English words still appear in English, and the slide names change to chinese, but none of the characters appear in the actual slides.

Is it something really obvious that we're doing wrong?

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks Peter. I think we've resolved it. Aparently the rtf braces cause all kinds of issues, so we removed the rtf content all together and now it works.

This is only really an issue for  Chinese and Japanese characters, it just publishes everything as question marks. It may be to do with the methods we're using to tranlsate of course (I work for a translation company)
