Format of Word Doc output

Jul 14, 2017

I use ASL 2 all the time, and a constant pain is the lack of flexibility in the word doc output. Am I missing something?

We use the word doc:

  1. for reviewers (yes I know there's now review functionality in a different version)
  2. as a user guide to support the elearning

The main problems I have are:

  1. No flexibility re formatting genreally
  2. The slide numbers are system generated and meaningless to users
  3. The screenshots are a poor resolution

I've just spend 2 whole days manually editing 30 ASL output word docs to get them into some sort of shape that I can show to users.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

The word published output creates screenshots of the slides themselves, so there isn't a way to modify the text or images in those screenshots from inside Word.

The blurriness is something that we've been able to gradually improve with each Storyline update, and then some other changes in the latest version of Storyline 3 and 360.

You could also look at your overall slide size, the size you choose to include in your word output, as both of those will contribute to the blurriness and any scaling up or down can cause items to appear blurry.
