Format Painter - 2 Questions/Comments
May 04, 2012
I appreciate that the Format Painter is included on the Home Tab in Storyline.
I'm finding that although there is a Format Painter in the Mini Toolbar (the one that pops up when, for example, text is selected), it doesn't work. It appears to have a "select state" and a "down state" in the toolbar, and when the mouse is moved away, the painter appears, but it doesn't do anything. I'm simply trying it within a text box.
Is it me? Is it a bug? Is it unfinished?
I also wonder about a feature request, and will make one if y'all think it's valid.
In PowerPoint, the Format Painter is available on the shortcut menu with a right-click of selected text, and with a right-click on shapes. Can this be added to Storyline?
TIA

Rebecca,
I have already, (I think), submitted this as a bug.
Certainly, the Format Painter does not appear to work across slides, only within the same slide, I know I've submitted that one at least once.
I would make a Bug/Feature Request - the more the merrier.
Bruce
TX, Bruce, for your confirmation. Bug/Feature request submitted!
a shortcut combo Ctrl + Shift + C and Ctrl + Shift + V like word would be great!
I know this is a old post, but was this fixed?
Hi Suraj,
The format painter on the tool bar that appears when you hover text as opposed to the top toolbar format painter still has the behavior that Rebecca and Bruce shared here. In regards to the other idea, you're welcome to share that in the form of a feature request.
