Has anyone been having issues setting up a master slide template with custom theme colors not populating down to the Format Shape options. This has become very frustrating as of late.

You're right, that does look odd! Have you noticed this in multiple courses, or is this one the culprit?

Thanks for responding, I notices this happen within the past 8 months or so. I went ahead and contact support about this bug and they where able to duplicate the bug.
Could you share the solution for this? I'm having the same issue. My issue looks exactly the same as the example posted by Jack Schofield in the original question. Thanks.
I was able to take a look at Jack's support case and it was a very specific scenario that our team is currently investigating:
Format Shape tool is not using custom theme color settings when the slide is not using a slide master template.
The current workaround is to:
Use a Slide Master template so that the Format Shape tool will use the theme color for that Slide Master.
Does that sound like what you are experiencing as well? If not and you'd like our team to take a look, then with your permission, please share your project file with our support engineers privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
