Formatting 'Choice' text boxes in quizzes

Aug 27, 2019

Hello, all.

I want to set the text box format for choices in multiple-choice or multiple-response questions.

This seems like something that should be done in a master slide. When I tried it (editing the 'Click to edit Choice text styles' text box), this didn't work when I applied the layout to a quiz slide.

Is there some other way to do this? I have over 100 questions, so a slide master-style approach is needed.

Thanks!

Allan

Hi Allan,

Using a slide master to design several quiz questions can be a huge time saver! It sounds like your master slide isn’t applying over to your question slide, is that correct? Take a look at this discussion where users had the same question

Sorry for the delay in responding, Ren.

The main text box formatting is being applied to the question slide, but the individual text boxes for the answer choices sometimes need to be adjusted individually. In one slide, there may be two or more widths for these.

The issue is occurring when I apply the layout to existing slides. New slides seem to have the formatting work properly. I'll monitor this, and if I have further problems with it, I'll send a file along to the Support Engineers.

Thanks very much for stepping in to help!

Hi, Ashley. Thanks for checking in!

I haven't submitted a case yet, as the formatting is working fine for new slides. It was just when applying the layout to existing slides that I was seeing the issue. I don't have a file at hand that I can send in for an example, as all the quiz questions have been reformatted.

If the issue arises again down the road, I'll be sure to send in an example.
