Formatting feedback slides with no selections made

Mar 10, 2013

Hi,

I have recently started using Storyline. I have created a quiz and I have customized the feedback slides. However when I click the Submit button without selecting any option in the question, I see a feedback slide with a formatting (font size and font type) different from what I have specified in the Feedback Master. Under Feedback Master, I don's see a slide for Invalid Answer. Could someone please help me resolving this?

Thanks,

Taher

Hi Taher. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

The "Invalid Answer" prompt you're seeing is part of the Storyline player. You can modify the text of this prompt through the Player Properties, but you won't be able to modify this through the Master.

  1. Go to the Home tab, and click the Player button.
  2. When the Player Properties editor opens, click the Text Labels button on the toolbar.
  3. Scroll down to items 16 (Invalid Answer) and 17 (Invalid Answer Text), and edit the Custom Text as desired.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.

I hope this helps!

Hi Taher,

Unfortunately, no. As I explained earlier, this prompt is part of the player itself. You won't be able to adjust the formatting for the text in this prompt. This is why I provided the custom prompt information, in hopes that it would help accomplish more of the customization you're looking for.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Have a great day!

Christine
