Free Text/Essay type answers not showing up in LMS reporting

I'm using an LMS called Litmos. One of the modules i published and uploaded to the LMS is a single Essay type question slide. The problem is, when i go to pull the report, I can't see the leraners' answers, I tried a few different ways to pull the reports, but i either get a message saying "no interaction data available" or simply a blank space where the text should be. I contacted the LMS's support department, they said they tested the module on Scorm Cloud and they're getting the same result as i am. This was their answer: 

To determine if it's an issue with the file or with Litmos, we have tested the file on a third party tool (SCORM Cloud) and ended up with the same results. It seems like the interactions are not getting passed hence would advise you to reach out to your original content creator or authoring tool and have them further check the settings of the quiz results in the scorm package.

I published for LMS, and under Output Options, I´ve already tried:  SCORM 1.2. SCORM 2004, Tin Can API but i keep getting the same results

Hi Manuel! Thanks for letting us know you already reached out to your LMS support team. Cross-testing a file in a tool like SCORM Cloud is a smart idea and usually helps to identify where the problem lies.

Since you also saw the issue in SCORM Cloud, we'll want to take a closer look at your file. You can either attach it to a new reply here, or send it privately here. We'll do some more testing and let you know what we find!

Hi. I'm not sure that essay type question answers will get passed to the LMS without specifying some javascript to make it happen. I would love this to be an easy thing to do by I've not found any easy to follow instructions for placing essay question responses in interaction data which the LMS can use.

Anyone able to point us in the right direction?

Sorry for the delay here, but we're still around to help! 

I'd want to know what LMS option you choose upon publish and it sounds like a few of you are using Storyline 360 - but do you know what update? Storyline 360, build 3.20.16814.0 is the latest, and you can check by going to the "Help" Tab -> "About Articulate Storyline".

You'd also need to make sure that the Result slide is tracking that particular question to report it to your LMS.

Hi Andrew, I had trouble finding the results in my LMS as well. There are two items I would check. One, the question results need to be captured by a results slide. Two, the results slide should submit the results to the LMS. A third item to watch for is the order of triggers. If there is another trigger above the submit trigger, and it navigates away from the interaction, the learner will navigate from the slide before the submit trigger fires. As a result, the submit trigger will never fire.
