Full screen video

Aug 15, 2017

Hi all,

I've been asked a question by our stakeholders, who want  short modules using an embedded video. I produced an example and they have asked if it's possible to do a YouTube style 'full screen' option for video that's being played. I'm guessing not, I've not seen anything that would give me that option, but thought maybe someone would know better than I?

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hi Paul,

in your video options (when clicked on a video you get them in the menu of storyline) you could change the show video option to open in new browser window, but the user still has to click on it. Otherwise you could insert a link to the video (if it´s on a server/youtube/etc.). Sadly there is no option (yet) like youtube does to get a fullscreen mode or even give you an option to control the quality (which we would really like to have too) of the video.

Greetings,

Susi

Hi Susi,

I have a Storyline 360 course that has linked videos (to our internal servers) that play in a web object. The video player has a full screen mode button, however, it does not expand the video to full screen. Our video support team mentions that there are 2 iframes but the parent iframe does not have the same. I am attaching what they sent. Is there a way for me to change the parent iframe? What file would I need to adjust? Thanks, Jay
